Elucidation of the mechanisms of energy supply and homeostasis during physical exercise
Exercise can only be understood within a certain framework, but involves miscellaneous ideas because we usually exercise without understanding the framework. The framework of exercise physiology is formed by the functions of the body. In other words, we can understand what exercise is by learning how all the intricate functions and systems of the body work together during exercise. However, with knowledge of the framework behind bodily functions alone, there are limitations to understanding exercise. Accordingly, this research group seeks to extend the framework of exercise to include environmental factors and is engaged in empirical physiological studies in consideration of the framework of exercise.
