I was born in a regional city in Hokkaido and grew up experiencing the problem of a declining population. I am thinking about how we can cope with the impact of a declining population on our lives, and what is necessary for everyone to be able to participate in the process of rebuilding the region.

Detailed contents of research
My research focuses on the formation of actors in community development, focusing on the process by which diverse local residents collaborate. In depopulated areas, although various residents must cooperate, they are often unable to break away from traditional economic and social structures and customs, and activities do not develop. I focus on activities rooted in local nature and culture, and research how community development occurs toward endogenous development, and how residents cooperate in this process.
