Message

I assumed my present post in 2001 after working for the Ministry of Labour (today’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare) and a private think tank. Since Japan has no particular natural resources and possesses only human resources, it is important to nurture our human resources. I am therefore engaged in research on ways to develop human resources, related challenges and other considerations.

  • Areas of Expertise

Human resource development, career education

Research Subjects

Relationship between education and human resource development

Research Keywords

Human resource development, career education, labor policy

Research Overview

My research focuses are: (1) the relationship between higher education and industrial society in human resource development; (2) the roles of higher education institutions in the development of high-level professionals; and (3) labor policies regarding human resource development and employment, as well as ideal corporate human resource management.
